Frequently Asked Questions

What is the NDIS?

NDIS stands for National Disability Insurance Scheme, which is the first national program in Australia to provide disability insurance. Under the NDIS, people under 65 with persistent and major conditions can obtain the assistance and services they need to live and enjoy their lives.

Am I eligible for the NDIS?

Applicants must meet certain eligibility requirements, such as those related to age, residency, disability, and early intervention. Age: It is necessary that you are aged between 7 to 65. Residence: If you are a citizen, permanent resident, or citizen of New Zealand with a visa, you are eligible to apply. Disability: You must be permanently disabled, meaning that your inability to move, speak, take care of yourself, or manage your life is considerably hindered. Early Intervention: If you require certain help right away to reduce a future need, you can be qualified.

What services can you receive through the NDIS?

The NDIS offers a variety of services and equipment to enhance your quality of life. This covers:  support for more suitable housing as well as for strengthening your relationships, health, education, lifestyle choices and daily activities.
